Climb Stac Pollaidh mountain for spectacular views over Assynt and the Summer Isles then head to the Summer Isles Bar for a pint of local ale and a plate of locally caught langoustines.
Head to Polbain and start the Polbain Hill path leading up the small hill Meall an Fheadain for beautiful views over the islands and a perfect sunset spot. Head to the Fauran bar to try the local hand dived scallops for dinner.

Aiming for low tide, park at Achininver youth hostel car park and follow the path which leads to the stunning Achininver beach, a glorious sandy beach with mountain views and a perfect spot for a brave dip in the sea!
Head down to Badenscallie beach and search for washed up sea pottery to take back as a memorable souvenir. Head to FISK in Polbain, to shop all things craft, made by local artists, including washed up sea pottery necklaces!
Head north to Durness to explore Oldshoremore beach and the coastline of Durness and Shmoo cave. Grab a take away hot chocolate from Coco Mountain and enjoy it perched on the beach.
Heading in or out of Achiltibuie via Ullapool? Don’t miss tasting the delicious Seafood Shack for the best haddock wraps, spicy fish soup or locally caught crab, it’s a real treat!
